John Perkun, PE, Joins WBCM’s Pittsburgh Office

WBCM welcomes John Perkun, PE, to our Pittsburgh office as the Transportation Department Manager. The addition of Mr. Perkun will enhance the breadth of services the office has provided to Western Pennsylvania since being established in 1999.

Mr. Perkun has over 36 years of experience in transportation and municipal engineering in both the public and private sectors. He previously served as Chief Bridge Engineer for the City of Pittsburgh and was most recently involved in design reviews for PennDOT’s P3 Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. His resume includes bridge replacements and rehabilitations, roadway reconstructions, streetscapes, complex underground utility investigations and relocations, traffic signalization, maintenance and protection of traffic, sanitary/storm sewer design and construction, design reviews, park-and-ride facilities, and site development design. Mr. Perkun’s experience includes all phases of project delivery from concept through construction.

Mr. Perkun earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and his Master of Business Administration from Duquesne University. Mr. Perkun is a Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and West Virginia and an active member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE). He served as the Technical Committee Co-Chair for the 2016 ASHE National Conference held in Pittsburgh.
