WBCM Welcomes Doug Knoll, PE, to our Harrisburg Office

WBCM welcomes Doug Knoll, PE, to our Harrisburg office. The addition of Mr. Knoll as a Transportation Director serves to further strengthen WBCM’s transportation presence throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states.

Mr. Knoll is a registered Professional Engineer with over 34 years of experience in the transportation industry, including more than 25 years of PennDOT experience, six of them serving as the Bridge Engineer for PennDOT District 8-0. His resume includes bridge preservations, rehabilitations, replacements, and maintenance; bridge inspections and emergency bridge evaluations and repairs; roadway reconstructions and overlays; the planning and programming of a bridge inventory covering over 3,400 State-owned and approximately 1,000 locally-owned bridges; construction, load rating, design, and shop drawing reviews and approvals; and railroad coordination with Amtrak, Norfolk Southern, and CSX.

Mr. Knoll earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He has volunteered his time for the local ABCD chapter, was a moderator for the 2019 International Accelerated Bridge Construction Conference, in Miami, Florida, and assisted with the development of the annual ASHE Harrisburg conference.
