WBCM provided emergency architectural and structural engineering response for a wall collapse at the main USPS processing and distribution center in Washington, DC. High winds caused severe damage to the building, including the collapse of an exterior masonry wall, damage to an interior wall, an overturned mechanical rooftop unit, damage to skylights and windows, and torn roof flashing. WBCM provided emergency support for stabilization and temporary repairs to facilitate ongoing use of the facility, followed by design of permanent repairs. WBCM also performed a full exterior wall review of the entire building and provided design and construction administration services to implement the recommendations.
