Liquid Terminal Expansion
WBCM provided construction management services for a new liquid fertilizer terminal on a previously developed industrial site. The new facility required 25,000 cubic yards of offsite-engineered fill to render the site usable. To prevent future contamination, 6,000 linear feet of double-walled, high density polyethylene containment pipe was installed, along with a centrally-monitored internal leak-detection system.
WBCM also oversaw the installation of new asphalt paving, an administration building, a four-station truck loading rack system, a truck scale, new electrical service, product pumps, and all necessary programming and automated controls. Special consideration was needed due to the site’s location in an active seismic zone.
