WBCM provided engineering and architectural services for the design of a new combined residential and commercial materials recovery facility (MRF). The new MRF includes a 140,000-square-foot, pre-engineered metal building housing the recycling process equipment that handles fiber (newspaper and corrugated cardboard) and commingled materials (aluminum cans, glass, and plastic bottles/containers) collected from Solid Waste Authority transfer facilities and local contractors. Materials are then segregated, compacted, baled, and shipped to manufacturers for use as raw materials.
