Bridge Design

WBCM’s bridge engineering team is experienced in the design, analysis, rehabilitation, rating, and inspection of transportation structures, including pedestrian bridges; single- and multi-span bridges; box, pipe, and pipe arch culverts; retaining walls (gravity, cantilever, mechanically stabilized earth, and sheet piling); geosynthetic reinforced soil (GRS) abutments; deck replacements; and highway lighting and traffic control device structures.
WBCM is also experienced in structural rehabilitation to extend the service life of existing structures by repairing defects that impact capacity and identifying and addressing the issues that led to the defects.
WBCM’s engineers are well versed in the design requirements of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and the Federal Highway Administration. WBCM places an emphasis on safety, minimizing cost during both design and construction, reducing construction duration, and minimizing impacts to rights-of-way, user mobility, utilities, and the environment.
