OUR SAMPLE PROJECTS
McClure Tennis Center at the Ridley Athletic Complex
WBCM provided engineering, surveying, and construction stakeout for the construction of the McClure Tennis Center at the Ridley Athletic Complex. The 4.11-acre project site was an undeveloped area contained within the limits of the larger Loyola College Athletic Planned Unit Development (PUD) complex. The project created eight NCAA-regulation size tennis courts, a one-story field house with locker room facilities, metal bleachers at each court, and a paved parking surface for 18 vehicles. WBCM designed vehicular and pedestrian access, tying into existing infrastructure.
Due to existing slopes and environmental concerns, site development was terraced in the grade with the tennis courts broken into three distinct groups at different elevations with sloped walkways providing pedestrian access to the courts. Stormwater management quantity requirements were met using an underground detention system located under the parking lot.

Campus Center Athletic Center
WBCM provided engineering services for the renovation of the existing 30-year old gym on the 10th floor of the Pratt Street garage adjacent to the Campus Center. The renovation resulted in a modern athletic center containing an elevated, roof-supported running track, basketball, volleyball and racquet ball courts, and administrative offices. Renovations also included elevator upgrades, new mechanical equipment, and transitions from the Campus Center to the garage. The project was phased to accommodate the University’s schedule.

Intercollegiate Athletic Facility
WBCM provided initial boundary and topographic survey, easement and subdivision plats, and construction stakeout for the creation of an athletic complex at Cold Spring Lane and I-83. The stakeout included all roadways, parking lots, stadium complex structures, two playing fields, a running track, and five vegetated reinforced soil slope (VRSS) earthen walls.
WBCM also provided engineering services during construction to mitigate site drainage issues that were not accounted for by the original design firm. WBCM performed analysis, design, permitting, and construction services for the installation of a new stormwater pump station that conveys stormwater from 28 acres of drainage area through a new force main, to a stable outfall. The design point of this station was 3 MGD at 50 feet with the ability to handle peaks of up to 138 MGD for the 100-year storm.
