WBCM provided structural engineering services for the construction of a one-story building addition at the Castaway Bay Indoor Water Park at Cedar Point.
The exterior walls were designed with 30-foot high load-bearing masonry. The interior columns were designed using a combination of steel and concrete and the roof structure is made of of laminated timber. The foundations are grade beams and caissons.
WBCM also provided structural engineering design and details for several interior features of the park. WBCM designed a concrete and steel stair structure that extends vertically to the entrance of several slide chutes. WBCM detailed framing to support a JumboTron screen that was being relocated from Sea World to the new park.
