WBCM provided structural engineering services for the design of the four-story, 69,730 square-foot Waterfront III office building.
The building is sited on a fairly flat location and uses conventional steel frame construction with concrete on metal deck floors. The exterior facade is a combination of precast concrete panels and curtail wall. There is an enclosed penthouse on the roof to house mechanical equipment.
WBCM designed a deep foundation system consisting of a grade beams and caisson that transfers the building loads to a suitable subsurface soil strata. The first floor is a slab on grade and there are no below grade spaces.
WBCM also provided the design and details for a 200-foot long site retaining wall that was necessary to allow for the required parking count.
